For one of our clients we are looking for an Information Security officer. Key in this role are communication and coordination of Security projects. Technical in-depth skills are less important.
JOB PURPOSE
Prepare, monitor and update the information security management environment (systems, policies, procedures) for information systems related matters within the company and suggest and promote the environment for non other related companies in Europe.
Develop awareness materials, and promote awareness of good information security practice within the company in Europe and encourage effective implementation of the information security framework within companies. Drive information security transformation projects including compliance and audit projects
3. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- TASKS
Prepare, monitor and update Europe's information security management environment (systems, policies, procedures)
Monitor and coordinate the review and publication of Europe's policies and procedures with the process owners
Promote awareness of good information security practice within the company
Manage risks and issues ensuring they are communicated and mitigated so that the business is kept fully informed of progress
work with stakeholders across the business to drive continuous security improvement
Conduct periodic information security audits, suggest countermeasures and proactively develop solutions
Manage information security transformation projects, including compliance and audit related projects
Monitor of the information security management framework and proactively identify improvements
Report information security incidents, suggest countermeasures and follow up the implementation of countermeasures
Initiate, write and complete project documentation
CONTACTS
Manage Relationships with external IT staff, system providers and customer IT
Work with non IS associates in EU and other sales and manufacturing companies within Europe, USA and Japan

4. PERSON SPECIFICATION
- EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS
Degree level, particularly in Computer Science or related subjects
CISSP with at least 5 years’ experience in information security- mandatory
CCSP- Certified cloud security professional – advantage
- SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE
practical approach to the implementation of information security
Soft skills: ‘Team player’. Flexible mindset , well organized.
Experience in writing Information security policies and procedures
Good presentation skills
Experience in conducting security compliance projects (i.e. ISO 27001, NIST, etc)
Experience in working in diverse, multicultural environment
Fluent English is essential.

Staff competencies with particular emphasis on:
Quality Orientation: Understanding of (internal) customer and system user needs and clarify specifications with the customer
Teamwork and collaboration: Ability to work effectively with all types of people at all levels of the organization, both within and outside the IS Department
Able to work on own initiative

Some national and international travel will be required
